Bathroom remodeling in Lakeland, Florida Built for how you live at home.
Bathroom remodeling in Lakeland, Florida is what Connie Shockey built her reputation on — careful tilework, practical layouts, and a remodel you can live with for years.
Why Lakeland homeowners remodel with Connie
Lakeland homeowners planning a bathroom remodel often want one thing more than a glossy brochure: someone who will be in the room, making the decisions with them.
Connie Shockey, known locally as The Tile Lady, runs T-L Ceramic Installation LLC from Lakeland. That matters. She is not dispatching a rotating crew from another metro. She drives to your house, walks the bathroom with you, and stays accountable from the first cut to the last grout line.
Lakeland housing spans brick ranch homes, lake-adjacent properties, and newer builds toward the Highlands. Bathrooms here take real use: morning routines, guest traffic, and the humidity that comes with Central Florida living. A remodel that looks fine on install day but softens at the corners a year later is not a win. Our work is built around preparation, waterproofing where it counts, and tile choices that belong in a Florida home.
You work directly with Connie. No salespeople. No project manager filtering your questions. If you want a free estimate, call (863) 608-0561 or email [email protected].

What bathroom remodeling covers in a Lakeland home
Full bathroom renovations through T-L Ceramic can include tile floors, tiled walls and accent niches, custom vanities with lighting and fixtures, layout updates, and accessibility upgrades. Many Lakeland projects also fold in a shower rebuild or tub-to-shower conversion — see our walk-in shower work when that is the priority.
She also installs tile flooring and LVP flooring when the bath connects to a larger flooring plan. The goal is a room that feels finished as a whole, not a patchwork of leftover decisions.
- Full bath renovations planned around your daily routine
- Tile floors, walls, and niche details
- Vanities, lighting, and fixture coordination
- Layout and accessibility improvements
Because we offer mobile service, material samples come to your Lakeland bathroom — where the light, existing cabinets, and floor transitions actually matter.
Craft details that show in the finished room
Look at Connie’s Lakeland-area bath work and you see the same priorities: clean field layout, thoughtful niche placement, and transitions that do not fight the rest of the house. Master suites often pair a walk-in shower with a separate tub; guest baths get durable porcelain and simpler patterns that still feel intentional.
Florida bathrooms punish weak prep. We pay attention to substrate, waterproofing at wet walls, and how tile meets glass, curbs, and vanities. That is the difference between a remodel that photographs well once and a room you trust every morning.

Questions, answered.
What does a typical Lakeland bathroom remodel include?
Most projects cover tile floors and walls, a refreshed shower or tub surround, vanity updates, lighting, and fixture work as needed. Connie scopes the room with you so the plan matches how you actually use the space — not a one-size package.
Can you remodel a bathroom while we still live in the house?
Yes. Many Lakeland homeowners stay put during the work. Connie plans the sequence so you keep access to another bath when possible, and she keeps the jobsite cleaner than a typical crew-heavy remodel.
Do you handle accessibility updates in older Lakeland homes?
She regularly plans walk-in showers, lower curbs, and layout changes that make daily use easier — especially in mid-century and ranch homes common around Lakeland Highlands and south Lakeland.
Will you help choose tile and finishes for Florida humidity?
Yes. We bring material options to your home so you can see them in your light. She favors finishes that hold up to Central Florida moisture and cleaning routines.
